Find the production record that needs attention
Choose the actual manufacturing or quality-control question before opening a general checklist. The product revision, site, material, equipment and batch may each matter to the task. Record which one the question concerns and what evidence is available.
The HPRA guidance directory links to its cosmetic GMP guide. The GB product guidance provides the separate GB starting point. The relevant standard or specialist protocol and the actual operating system need their own review. This hub does not certify a manufacturer or prescribe a universal production procedure.
Orient the review or inspect a batch record
Choose the ISO 22716 orientation when the question is about the relationship between manufacturing duties, a standard and certificate evidence. Record the edition and what was actually consulted. A public abstract is different from access to the complete standard.
Choose the batch-record guide when you need to connect a manufacturing event to its materials, method and checks. Keep the actual batch identity, record version and unresolved questions together. A record can be legible and complete as a document while still requiring a substantive review.
Follow a material or equipment question
Use the relevant receipt, supplier, specification, cleaning or equipment task when that is where the uncertainty lies. Identify the exact record and the activity it is intended to support. A supplier file, calibration record and cleaning log should not be treated as interchangeable evidence.
For example, a fictional workshop has a maintenance file but no clear link between the equipment identifier in that file and the equipment used for a batch. The next action is to resolve the identity and obtain the appropriate review. Marking the whole equipment folder complete would hide the mismatch.
Investigate changes and departures from the plan
Use a deviation or change-control task when the activity or outcome differs from the agreed record. Preserve what happened, the affected product or batch, the investigation question and any proposed action. Keep the decision and its verification separate from the act of writing a corrective task.
Storage, returns, training and document-control questions also need a named owner and the applicable operating scope. The same administrative format can help organise them without establishing that one procedure fits every production setting.
Hand over a precise question
The released resources above identify the tasks currently available. Where a specialised guide is absent, agree the relevant standard/protocol access and review scope with the competent reviewer. NI applicability also needs its own check.
Finish with the controlled record, actual activity, missing evidence, owner and intended finding. The workspace can retain evidence references and owned actions while the manufacturing and specialist decisions remain identifiable in their own records.
