Choose the stage of the change review

A source has changed, but what has actually been established? Start by distinguishing retrieval, the observed text, legal interpretation, applicable dates and product impact. Each stage needs its own evidence before it can support the next decision.

The Commission's legislation page, HPRA's Irish market guidance, GB guidance and NI technical guidance provide different starting routes. An EU amendment cannot be assigned automatically to every market recorded for a product.

Find or verify the source

Choose the monitoring directory when you need a primary starting point or want to understand the pilot's coverage limits. Keep the actual source version and retrieval outcome. A challenge page or an unsuccessful check does not demonstrate a legal amendment.

If text changed, identify what changed and where. Navigation edits, a new document issue and an amended legal provision require different review questions. Preserve the earlier reference so the reviewer can reconstruct the comparison.

Assess applicability and dates

Choose the product-impact task when a relevant provision has been identified and you need to compare it with the recorded product. Bring the market, category, formulation revision and evidence needed for the actual conditions. A matched ingredient name can identify a candidate for review without resolving concentration or exceptions.

Choose the date task when commencement, placing-on-market, further supply or transition conditions need to be distinguished. Record the actual provision and supply facts. The day a webpage was retrieved should not become the product's legal deadline.

Work through a specific change

The fragrance-allergen change guide provides a focused EU task pathway when that is the issue being considered. It still needs current source, formulation, artwork and supply-history checks. Use a separate GB or NI review for those destinations rather than copying an EU date into every product row.

A fictional review finds that one product's material identity is too uncertain to decide whether it is affected. The appropriate outcome is an owned evidence request with the impact finding unresolved. An automatic summary saying all products affected would conceal the missing fact.

Turn a finding into follow-through

When the specialist records a scoped finding, keep its provision, date basis and product revision alongside the resulting action. Assign the task, retain completion evidence and distinguish closing the task from approving a changed product.

Use the released resources above for the stage you need. If a specialised task is not listed, preserve the question and use the appropriate primary route. AI-drafted text and retrieval signals can assist the workflow, but they do not replace the recorded interpretation and accountable review.
