Choose the market, then choose the task
A launch record should begin with the destination and the role your business performs. Ireland/EU, Great Britain and Northern Ireland need separate scope checks. A single UK selection can hide a distinction that matters to the later review.
Use the market selector to see the available reviewed resources and the relevant primary authority. A branch without a published CosmeBeacon guide is identified clearly; the directory does not imply that every market has the same coverage.
Ireland and other EU destinations
Start with the Ireland launch guide when reviewing a first Irish product. Record the product version, resolve the Responsible Person question and organise the evidence for the safety assessment and wider product file. Ask the specialist what changes if the destination extends beyond Ireland.
The HPRA's Irish market guidance is the starting authority for this branch. The page does not turn an Ireland-focused review into a review of every EU destination or language requirement.
Great Britain
Use a separate GB record when England, Scotland or Wales is a destination. The official GB guidance has its own scope. Keep role, notification, file, artwork and other applicability questions distinct from the Ireland/EU branch.
An existing Irish record can provide useful product information, but the specialist must decide what carries across and what requires a separate action. Do not infer coverage from a duplicate product name or a shared uploaded document.
Northern Ireland
Use the Northern Ireland technical guidance for the NI branch. Record the actual supply situation and obtain a review of any qualifying-goods or cross-market question rather than applying a blanket UK rule.
Follow the next unresolved decision
If the market is known but the role is unclear, start with the Responsible Person task. If the role is established but evidence is scattered, organise the PIF index and assessor handover. If the current review concerns changed artwork or a changed product, identify the exact version and the specific decision needed.
For a synthetic first-product walkthrough, use the labelled demo. It can help organise the questions without certifying compliance. The selector links only to available resources. Keep the primary authority, the guide's review information and the actual product facts in view.
